The room was spacious with a wonderful view of the hills, and I really enjoyed the delicious hot breakfasts cooked just for me. I loved relaxing on the sun terrace and checking out the cozy fireplace in the pub. Just a heads up, the area around could use some shops, but that's no fault of the hotel! 😊

i had a wonderfull stay at the cumberland inn! the staff were super friendly and welcoming, made me feel right at home. breakfast was amazin, all fresh and local, and the evening meals were cooked to order with big portions. the room was spacious and clean, way better than expected for the price. The view was stunning! definitely a hidden gem in alston.
the shower head kept falling off, kinda annoying, and the decor could use a little touch up.

Oh, the Cumberland's grub is top-notch! The traditional local cakes and hearty meals had me buzzing with delight. The Guinness in the bar was a real treat too—velvety smooth and perfect to wash down the fab evening meal. Plus, the staff were a bunch of legends, making you feel right at home!
The shower was a bit of a letdown, kept falling off and was temperamental with the hot water. The decor could do with a little cheeky update, but it didn’t dim the cozy vibe of the place.

Perfect for a hungry traveler
The staff were incredibly welcoming, treating us like royalty as we rolled in all tired from our cycling. Plus, that shepherd's pie I had was like a warm hug for my stomach—just the right size and packed with flavor.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still reasonable for the quality.

The room was spacious and provided a stunning view of the rolling hills, which enhanced the tranquility of my stay. Breakfast was a highlight, cooked fresh and served individually, offering a satisfying variety along with options for cereals. While the accommodations had a rustic charm, the bathroom was basic and could use some updates to enhance comfort.
